CONDIVIDI

On day seven car competitors drove into Bolivia for the first time in Dakar history. The opening leg of this marathon stage, a concept last seen on the Dakar in 2009, took the crews up to an altitude of more than 3,500 metres above sea level before plunging them into muddy valleys. Weather conditions were particularly extreme, providing some of the most challenging terrain seen so far on the event.
